Overview

Peel and Stick Transitions is a collection of animated transitions for Final Cut Pro that stick your clip on screen like a sticker, with a border, then fill the screen or peel it away.

Incoming transitions bring the next clip on screen, stick it, and then fill the screen. Outgoing transitions shrink the current clip, stick it, and then animate it off.

Choose whether the clip flies in or appears, and set the size, position and rotation of the stuck clip, the border, and the animation speed and ease.

Presets come in eight directions for each group. Set the speed by changing the transition's length. Two to three seconds works well.

How to use

In the Transitions browser sidebar, click My FCPeffects, then Peel and Stick Transitions (show the sidebar if it is hidden).
Drag an incoming or outgoing preset between two clips.
Make it 2 to 3 seconds long. Trim your clips if it will not stretch.
Select it and adjust Page.Scale, Page.Position and Page.Rotation in the Inspector.
For photos, set Spatial Conform to Fill, or set Border.Width to 0.

What is the difference between incoming and outgoing?

Incoming sticks the next clip on screen and then fills the screen. Outgoing shrinks the current clip, sticks it, then moves it off.

How long should the transition be?

Two to three seconds works well.

My photos look wrong with the border. What should I do?

Crop them or set Spatial Conform to Fill, or set Border.Width to 0.

How do I change the speed?
